The Operations division is at the heart of our customers’ experience here at THG. We Manufacture a wide range of sports nutrition and 
cosmetic consumer goods that we then dispatch to our customers in over 200 countries worldwide from our purpose-built, innovative 
manufacturing and distribution centres.


Responsibilities
The purpose of the Engineering team leader is to lead the site's technical team. The objective of the team is to modern 
maintenance systems to maintain "business as usual" for the plant operations, to continually improve the availability/reliability of 
the equipment and to do so safely and cost-effectively. A key part of the role will be the management of inventory through 
the eMaint system. You will maximize stock availability through criticality assessments and drive improvements in costs through 
the analysis of KPI data. 


• Ensure all maintenance activities for your shift and the oncoming shift are planned, prepared and clearly communicated.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out on time and in full.
• Accurate reporting of shift performance with clear handover to oncoming shift.
• CMMS lead on shift to ensure all work order processes are completed effectively and maintain data quality.
• Engineering Incident lead on shift providing timely and effective communications to key stakeholders. Escalating support external when required.
• Lead problem-solving sessions
• Owner for RCAs on Reactive work orders >30mins and ownership of action plan close out.
• Support the continuous improvement culture and failure analysis agenda by analysing available data to develop action plans to permanently solve problems by addressing the root cause.
• Work with the manager to develop an effective and efficient PPM program and ensure the team uses RCA skills in response to reactive tasks to maintain a predictive maintenance culture. 
• Support the evolution of the Engineering excellence program.
• Set SMART objectives quarterly for all team members and hold regular development reviews.
• Manage holiday, absence and RTW through effective use of policies and procedures.
• Work with the people team to manage any employee relations issues
• Responsible for the contractors' permit to work and sign-offs. 
• Lead the safety agenda. Develop SSOW, procedures and resolve any safety concerns on shift.
• Effective utilisation of the engineering team to deliver key metrics
• Provide support for project activities and change initiatives as appropriate
• Provide supervision, support and development for control room staff.
• Maintain good engineering standards.

Role Requirements
• Time served Engineer.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a hands-on engineering role. 
• Experience managing and motivating a small engineering team 
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to build a rapport with staff at all levels of the operation.
• Organised with the ability to set objectives and manage KPI’s.
• Good understanding of H & S and HR procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure whilst managing your time and your team’s time effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and highly numerate.
