About Finance at THG

Finance at THG is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of finance from central functions such as accounts receivable and payable, treasury, tax and internal audit, to specific commercial teams for each of our divisions; Beauty, Tech, Consumer, Health and Brands. As the business expands and takes on new challenges in the form of acquired businesses or new ventures, finance is there to support every step of the way, leading to dynamic and challenging roles – no two days are the same! About the Role

This specific function sits across the financial controls and commercial parts of Ingenuity at THG, a unique function offering the opportunity to business partner with all divisional finance and marketing teams to help drive trading performance and profitability; whilst working with central marketing functions to deliver growth across key metrics and customer mechanics, whilst ensuring we maintain a deliver strong financial controls and reporting within the P/L.

Responsibilities:

The role is split of 2 key areas:

  • Financial control and ownership of month end (all divisions of THG), transactional reconciliation, divisional budget analysis and management
  • Commercial reporting and analysis; supporting the HoF and divisional teams in driving and challenging all aspects of channel performance with the marketing team

Within these areas the role will require:

  • A proactive approach to performance analysis, acting quickly on both risks and opportunities
  • A confident mindset, comfortable in dealing with a wide range of none financial key stakeholders
  • A proven leader, who thrives on being able to drive an ambitious team to achieve defined profit initiatives
  • A solid foundation in financial control, demonstrating a keen eye for detail
  • Management of a team of 2

This role will be reporting directly into the Head of Finance for Marketing & Media and working in conjunction with the Media SLT; offering strong growth opportunities for the right individual.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACA)
  • Ambitious and keen to add instant value across financial controls as well as ROI initiatives
  • Previous management experience desirable
  • Proven record of delivering against targets
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence
