09-09-2025

Ultra-marathon sea-swimmer and Myprotein athlete and Performance Advisory board member, Ross Edgley completes world-first swim around the Icelandic Coast.

Starting on Saturday 17th May, Edgley has since covered over 1,000 miles (1610 km), finishing at Nauthólsvík Beach in Reykjavík on Monday 8th September.

The ultramarathon swim was also a scientific expedition for ocean conservation. Part of a wider conservation project, eDNA and microplastic sampling was conducted alongside some of the world’s leading researchers, helping to map Iceland’s marine life.

The swim will be featured in an upcoming Channel 4 documentary series, providing an unfiltered look at the physical and mental challenges of his extraordinary journey.
