Technical Co-Ordinator

Life at THG Nutrition

THG Nutrition is one of the world's leading sports nutrition and wellbeing brands. Through market-leading brands and vertically integrated manufacturing, we develop, manufacture and distribute innovative nutrition products to customers globally.

Brighter Foods, part of THG Nutrition, is a specialist manufacturing site based in the beautiful coastal town of Tywyn, Wales. Surrounded by stunning countryside and close to Snowdonia National Park, the site produces high-quality nutrition bars and powdered products for some of the world's most recognised brands. It's a close-knit team where people genuinely know each other, take pride in what they do, and work together to deliver exceptional quality standards every day.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Technical Co-Ordinator to play a key role in maintaining our food safety, quality and compliance standards while supporting exciting new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Why be a Technical Co-Ordinator at THG Nutrition?

This is an opportunity to become a central figure within the Technical team, working across quality systems, environmental monitoring, customer complaints, non-conformances, audits and new product launches.

You'll have the chance to make a visible impact on site performance, working closely with Production, Quality, NPD and Technical colleagues to ensure products are manufactured safely, legally and to the highest quality standards. No two days are the same, and you'll gain exposure to every aspect of food manufacturing compliance while helping shape the future of a growing business.

Whether you're already working in a Technical or QA role and looking for your next challenge, or you're ready to broaden your responsibilities within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, this role offers excellent opportunities for development and progression.

What impact will I make?

As Technical Co-Ordinator, you'll help ensure our quality and food safety systems remain robust, compliant and audit-ready by:

  • Maintaining and continuously improving quality management documentation, including procedures, work instructions, packing specifications and factory paperwork.
  • Planning, co-ordinating and executing the Environmental Monitoring Programme (EMP), including microbiological trend analysis and investigation activities.
  • Managing customer complaints from investigation through to corrective actions and closure, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Raising, managing and supporting the closure of supplier and internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring effective root cause analysis and preventative actions.
  • Supporting new product launches by creating accurate factory documentation and co-ordinating technical activities to ensure successful implementation.
  • Managing customer compliance requirements and supporting onboarding activities for key customer accounts.
  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the Technical team, helping to prioritise workloads and drive performance against Technical KPIs.
  • Contributing to internal audits, traceability exercises, mock recalls and supporting customer, third-party and regulatory audits.

What will help me succeed?

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organisation and communication skills.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within a Technical, Quality Assurance or Food Safety role in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
  • A good understanding of HACCP principles and their practical application within manufacturing.
  • Experience working with quality management systems and food safety standards.
  • Knowledge of BRC standards, food legislation, Trading Standards requirements and customer Codes of Practice.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence managing technical documentation and data.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong investigation and problem-solving skills with experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • The confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels across the business.
  • A proactive approach and genuine passion for food safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

  • Experience using laboratory management systems.
  • Previous experience supporting environmental monitoring programmes and microbiological trending.
  • Experience managing customer complaints and non-conformance processes.
  • Exposure to new product development, product launches or customer onboarding activities.
  • Experience supporting or participating in third-party, customer or regulatory audits.
  • Previous experience providing guidance or support to Technical or QA team members.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme
  • Employee discounts across THG brands
  • Career development and progression opportunities within THG Nutrition
  • Access to employee wellbeing support
  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced family-friendly policies
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment within a growing manufacturing business
