The Demand and Inventory Planner is responsible for supporting the development and execution of demand forecasts, while maintaining data related to revenue, retail sales, and inventory performance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across planning processes, supporting SKU-level forecasting, new product launch planning, and ongoing reporting across B2B and D2C channels.

The Associate will partner closely with Sales, Planning, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts, revenue targets, and inventory levels, while delivering reliable reporting, actionable insights, and data-driven analysis to support business decisions.

 

As Demand and Inventory Planner, you’ll: 

  • Support the development and maintenance of SKU-level demand forecasts across B2B and D2C channels using both top-down and bottom-up methodologies.
  • Analyze business performance trends to identify forecast risks, opportunities, and key drivers across SKUs and channels.
  • Own the maintenance, validation, and organization of large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency across forecasting and planning outputs.
  • Maintain and update revenue forecasts across regions, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles.
  • Track and report on out-of-stock risks and associated revenue impact, incorporating insights into forecast adjustments.
  • Support new product forecasting and launch planning, ensuring alignment with sales expectations and inventory readiness.
  • Partner with Sales and Supply Planning teams to align demand forecasts, key assumptions, and business drivers.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory levels and proactively flag risks related to low stock, excess inventory, and aging inventory.
  • Support the translation of demand forecasts into inventory and production requirements, partnering with Supply Chain and Production teams to balance service levels and inventory investment.
  • Assist in managing inventory across global distribution centers, leveraging forecasts, inventory turns, and lead-times to optimize stock levels and support sales performance.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and datasets, ensuring data integrity and improving efficiency of planning processes over time.

 

What skills and experience do I need for this role? 

  • 1-2 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or related field.
  • Experience working with B2B or retail methodology and data is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and managing complex datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, detailed datasets and ensure a high level of data accuracy.
  • Understanding forecasting principles and inventory management concepts (e.g., demand variability, inventory turns, service levels).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
