Why be a Paid Search Assistant at Dermstore?
We're looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and data-driven Paid Search Assistant to join our Paid Media team based in New York. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a fast-paced ecommerce environment, working on high-impact paid search campaigns that drive growth across one of the world's leading beauty retailers.
The majority of your work will focus on Google Search and Google Shopping campaigns, managing and optimizing large-scale accounts with significant budgets. You'll also have the opportunity to support campaigns across YouTube and Programmatic, gaining exposure to additional paid media channels as your experience grows.
Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail. You'll be responsible for building, managing, and optimizing complex campaign structures while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class performance.
As part of the Dermstore team, you'll be encouraged to share ideas, challenge the status quo, and continuously develop your skills while working alongside experienced digital marketing professionals.
As an Paid Search Assistant, you'll:
- Assist in the creation, management, and optimization of paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, with a primary focus on Google Search and Shopping.
- Build, manage, and optimize complex campaign structures across large budgets while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor campaign performance daily, identifying trends and translating insights into actionable recommendations to improve ROAS and overall account performance.
- Conduct keyword research, search query analysis, and negative keyword mining to maximize campaign efficiency.
- Develop compelling ad copy aligned with Dermstore's brand voice and campaign objectives.
- Support weekly launches of new brands, products, and promotional campaigns.
- Perform regular account health checks, identifying opportunities for optimization, expansion, and testing.
- Assist with reporting by preparing weekly and monthly performance updates, providing context and actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with SEO, Ecommerce, Brand, Creative, and Analytics teams to ensure integrated campaign execution.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in paid search, automation, bidding strategies, and digital advertising best practices.
- Support YouTube and Programmatic campaign execution, gaining experience across additional paid media channels.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Experience creating and managing campaigns within Google Ads, with exposure to Microsoft Advertising.
- Experience managing Google Shopping campaigns and an understanding of bidding platforms such as SA360 is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed optimization decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, particularly when managing complex campaign builds and large budgets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and confidence working with large datasets.
- A proactive, curious mindset with a willingness to learn and continuously improve.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- A passion for digital marketing, ecommerce, and the beauty industry.
