Ready to grow your career across Europe with one of the world’s leading sports nutrition brands? As an EU Account Manager at Myprotein, you’ll play a critical role in expanding and accelerating our B2B growth across EU and strategic retail partnerships.
Based at THG ICON in Manchester, you’ll manage high-value European accounts, deliver market-specific commercial strategies and unlock new distribution opportunities across the EU’s diverse retail and e-commerce landscape. You’ll have the opportunity to shape Myprotein’s growth across Europe while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment backed by the scale and innovation of THG. Travel to EU markets may be required.
As an EU Account Manager you will:
- Manage a dedicated portfolio of key retail, distribution and e-commerce partners across EU markets, delivering profitable growth, excellent customer service and agreed revenue targets.
- Take ownership of commercial performance across assigned European territories, aligning account plans with regional priorities and wider global business objectives.
- Build strong, long-term partnerships with distributors, retailers and marketplace partners across Europe to increase brand presence and support sustainable growth.
- Identify and develop new routes to market, prioritising countries, channels and partners with the greatest potential for profitable expansion.
- Review customer product mix and SKU performance to improve profit per unit (PPU), recommending locally relevant product ranges based on consumer demand and channel dynamics.
- Develop and maintain joint business plans with European partners, covering sales, distribution, marketing, category growth and investment priorities.
- Lead commercial negotiations with European buyers and distributors to secure optimal pricing, product listings, distribution coverage and retail visibility.
- Work cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, supply chain, demand planning, product development, finance and regulatory teams to launch and scale products successfully across EU markets.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams to meet EU and country-specific requirements relating to product compliance, labelling, documentation and cross-border trade.
- Maintain accurate account-level sales forecasts, working closely with demand planning and supply chain teams to support stock availability and service levels.
- Support annual account planning and budgeting for assigned EU markets.
- Manage promotional strategies and trade investment across European partners, ensuring strong return on investment, sell-through and brand visibility.
- Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts, performance updates and actionable commercial recommendations.
- Monitor consumer trends, competitor activity, pricing developments and emerging opportunities across the European sports nutrition and wellness sector.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- At least three years’ experience in account management, international sales or business development, ideally within food and beverage, FMCG, consumer health, wellness or sports nutrition.
- Demonstrable experience working with distributors, retailers, marketplaces or strategic accounts across one or more European markets.
- A strong understanding of European retail and e-commerce channels, customer economics and market-entry considerations.
- Experience managing commercial targets, forecasts, pricing, promotional plans and joint business plans.
- Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, sports nutrition, health and wellness products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to build effective cross-cultural business relationships and adapt your approach across different European markets.
- A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to use sales, margin and market data to inform commercial decisions.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple markets, accounts and projects simultaneously.
- An entrepreneurial and proactive approach to identifying and converting new growth opportunities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional European language would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel across EU markets when required.
