6 November 2023THG PLC (“THG” or “The Group”), the global proprietary technology platform specialising in taking brands direct to consumers (“D2C”), is proud to announce their in-house GP service providing personalised and virtual GP services for THG employees, has recently received accreditation by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The CQC is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, responsible for ensuring medical practices meet specific quality and safety standards for wellbeing services.

THG’s in-house doctor service has recently been certified to manage the regulated activity of diagnostic and screening procedures and treatment of disease, disorder, or injury. This is inclusive of both physical and mental health services conducted by THG’s in-house doctor, Dr. Ishrat Ahmed and CBT therapist, Rifa Ahmad.

THG believes in providing convenient access to quality wellbeing services and in fostering a healthy, safe and caring environment for employees, and the Group’s CQC registration reflects the ongoing commitment to that belief. Employees at THG can expect a consistent standard of wellbeing services, focusing on long-term health, preventative care and overall wellbeing.

THG proudly stands as a pioneer in the UK by being one of the few corporations to offer in-house wellbeing services and an in-house GP exclusively for its employees located at the Group’s offices in Manchester.

THG’s CQC registration initiative will see their in-house GP service continue to develop processes and best practices for clinical safety in line with current regulations, including disability access, facility procedures and quality of wellbeing services for employees.

Dr. Ishrat Ahmed, GP and Group Medical Director at THG said: “THG takes pride in offering in-house well-being services to our employees, which has recently obtained independent regulation from the CQC. This registration, which will reviewed regularly, demonstrates our commitment to delivering safe and high-quality care and we are enthusiastic about sustaining this level of service for our THG employees. Our utmost priority is to safeguard the well-being of our employees, the people and the entire Group by upholding compassionate, educational and accessible standards of care.”
