Role: Technical Co-ordinator
Area: THG Manufacturing
Location: Tywyn, Wales (LL36) — Fully onsite, 5 days per week (37.5 hours)
Reporting to: Technical Manager

Why be a QA Assistant at THG?
As a QA Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Tywyn site continues to meet the highest standards of food safety, compliance and product quality. You’ll gain hands-on exposure across technical documentation, internal audits, raw material testing, customer complaints and third-party audit preparation.
This is a great opportunity to develop within a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong progression potential across QA, Technical, Compliance or NPD.
What you’ll be doing

Maintain and improve technical procedures, policies and documentation

Support the Technical Manager and QA team with day-to-day compliance activities

Assist in internal audits and help prepare the site for third-party audits and traceability exercises

Update QA matrices and ensure accurate record keeping

Support the coordination, investigation and closure of customer complaints

Issue Certificates of Analysis/Conformance when required

Assist the raw materials lab with reviewing microbiological testing results and follow-up investigations

Promote continuous improvement and help embed a strong food safety culture across site
What we’re looking for
-
Experience in a technical or QA role within food or beverage manufacturing

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Good understanding of food safety systems and their application in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of third-party standards such as BRC, Trading Standards and Customer Codes of Practice

Working knowledge of HACCP principles

A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for quality and compliance
