Why be a Production Planner for Nutrition?

The planning function plays a key role in supporting one of the largest sports nutrition brands in the world, ensuring that products move efficiently through the supply chain. Within this area, there is significant opportunity to take ownership of critical processes and drive meaningful improvements that enhance overall performance. The team is responsible for all aspects of supply chain planning and operates with a strong sense of collaboration, creating an environment where individuals can contribute across a wide range of interesting and impactful projects.

 

You will be responsible for generating weekly production plans accounting for sales demand, raw material availability and production capacity. Collaborating with factory managers to analyse and forecast output requirements for labour, operational and capacity planning.

As a Production Planner in Nutrition you will:

  • Maximise product availability through generating weekly production plans directly affecting the business’s sales capability.
  • Work closely with factory management to review performance on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain and improve production efficiencies through detailed batch planning.
  • Provide feedback to the supply planning team regarding raw material requirements and form part of the decision-making process for allocation of raw material shortages.
  • Collaborate with Operations Planning, NPD Planning and Production Finance to meet mutual goals.
  • Form part of a continuous improvement agenda for processes affecting the supply chain team.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

  • Strong numerical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel (SQL is desirable).
  • Background in supply chain, B2B, or commercial operations.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative and maintain attention to detail
  • Supply chain/commercial background desirable
  • An understanding of ecommerce desirable
