Over the past twelve months, we've made a consistent effort to move away from last click to more sophisticated attribution models and have invested further in MMM and LTV. This is therefore an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build on the great work already done and continue to maximize our performance marketing efforts. This would be a great role for someone who loves audience and creative testing, someone who genuinely wants to drive change with little red tape and support a high-performing team beneath them. We're looking for a strong generalist who has managed multiple channels, is measurement savvy and has a proven track record in testing, proving and scaling. We are one of the few successful specialty retailers in the market with our basket sizes being 4-5 times higher than our key competitors so there is huge opportunity for impact and growth. 

 

As VP Performance Marketing, you’ll:  

  • Develop and drive innovative growth and paid media strategies to meet revenue and consumer targets, with a focus on incremental, sustainable, efficient growth. Oversee channel roadmap, optimization and expansion. 
  • Oversee inbound website traffic (SEM, SEO) and Paid Media (Social, CTV and all paid media investments), Affiliate & Influencer Marketing for the brand. Scale and optimize investment, focusing on acquiring new customers while achieving efficiency (LTV/CAC and ROAS) goals. 
  • Oversee Retention to ensure that we are maximizing our consumer base and supporting in marketing mix shift to prospecting.   
  • Own channel spend mix and revenue targets.  
  • Build, monitor, and own Channel reporting on actual, budgeted and forecasted spend and return projections on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. 
  • Use paid investment measurement and analysis to inform decision-making and results. Utilize measurement and attribution modeling (MMM, MTA, Brand Health Study) to gain insights into effectiveness of digital marketing. 
  • Own brief and content development with creative team to optimize ad performance and drive brand image. 
  • Manage relationships with Central UK team and external media partners.  
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of digital media marketers, establishing concrete goals and targets.  

 

What skills and experience do I need for this role? 

  • 10+ years of experience leading paid digital media and/or growth/performance marketing. 
  • Experience working with large budgets across all media types (national, local, digital, social, search, OOH, TV/STV, programmatic, etc.). 
  • Deep understanding and proven track record of managing acquisition campaigns, strategies, and benchmarks. 
  • Advanced understanding of direct response metrics and ability to measure program/campaign ROI across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and other platforms specific to customer acquisition. 
  • Knowledge of AdTech and MarTech tools and capabilities. Experience working with Live Ramp and scaling 1P data activation.   
  • Growth mindset, with a bias toward change.  
  • Highly collaborative and able to build cross functional partnerships with data, creative, brand and site merch teams. 
  • Digital marketing expert, specific to emerging consumer and media trends. 
  • Ability to proactively engage with external partners and stay on the pulse of new trends and platforms to inform future engagement strategies.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  •  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Experience leading high-performing teams that attract top talent. Possesses excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. 
  • Retailer and/or D2C experience.
