As a Senior SQA Manager at THG Nutrition, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality, safety, and reliability of products enjoyed by millions of customers worldwide. This is a high-impact leadership position where your decisions directly influence brand trust, operational excellence, and supplier capability across a global network. You’ll work at pace within a collaborative, innovative environment, partnering closely with Procurement, NPD, and Manufacturing to drive strategic improvements and support new product launches. Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and implementing appropriate supplier assurance policies, procedures and standards to measure and improve supplier performance.
  • Establish global supplier quality performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Lead long-term quality improvement initiatives across the supply base
  • Developing working relationships with key stakeholder functions – Procurement, NPD and Manufacturing
  • Establish, manage and monitor key performance metrics for suppliers and customer feedback
  • Oversee supplier performance monitoring
  • Development of audit process and tools to ensure supplier compliance to internal and external (Regulatory) standards and requirements
  • Ensure suppliers comply with quality, regulatory, and industry standards
  • Approve supplier and raw material quality documentation
  • Oversee supplier audits and ensure closure of nonconformities.
  • Lead supplier escalations affecting production, customer satisfaction, or food safety.
  • Guide and validate root cause analyses for critical supplier issues.
  • Partner with procurement, NPD, and manufacturing to optimize supplier selection and performance.
  • Participate in sourcing decisions for strategic suppliers based on quality, capability, and risk.
  • Support customer audits and provide technical expertise on supplier approval and assurance related topics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supplier quality assurance team.
  • Manage workload allocation, training, and competency development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee supplier and raw material risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need to have the following qualifications / skills:

  • You will have a proven track record in quality systems management
  • You will be degree qualified or equivalent within a science related discipline or experience within a Technical function
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality in the food industry
  • Experience managing 3rd party/internal audits and technical visits
  • Strong knowledge of global quality standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineers or cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders internally and externally
  • You will have excellent management and communication skills with the ability to develop your team to reach their potential
  • Previous experience in identifying and driving quality and continuous improvement objectives will enable you to make a real contribution to the site
  • Relevant Food Safety qualifications/experience
  • Experience with GFSI certification standards
