People Administrator

 

This role is office based 5 days a week (we are open to discussing hybrid working arrangements) 

The role location is Tywyn, Wales, LL36 9LW

About the Role As a People Administrator, you’ll provide essential HR and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of people processes across the site. You’ll work closely with managers, supervisors, and employees to deliver a professional and efficient service, supporting everything from Absence Review Meetings to Engagement Initiatives.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment, where accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong understanding of manufacturing operations are key. You will report to the HR Business Partner and work closely with the HR Advisors.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR system, ensuring compliance with GDPR and food industry audit standards.

· Manage attendance and absence reporting, including sickness records, return-to-work documentation, and holiday tracking.

· Support the HR Advisors with ER casework

· Support site audits and inspections by maintaining accurate HR files and training evidence.

· Support with onsite occupational health surveillance clinics

· Act as a point of contact for employee queries (where a line manager cannot resolve) and escalate issues where appropriate.

· Assist with recruitment administration — posting vacancies, arranging interviews, conducting right-to-work checks, and onboarding new employees.

· Help coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programmes, and wellbeing initiatives on site.

· Provide administrative support for HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in an HR or People Admin role, ideally within manufacturing,

FMCG, or similar environments. CIPD Level 3 (Or studying towards)

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Experience supporting a shift-based workforce.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with food industry standards and audits (e.g., BRC, ISO, HACCP).

Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Basic understanding of UK employment law and HR compliance.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
