NPD Project Coordinator

Why be an NPD Project Coordinator at THG?
Joining THG as an NPD Project Coordinator means playing a key role in coordinating new product development across our manufacturing network. You’ll sit at the centre of cross-functional delivery, supporting the launch of customer-led and brand-led innovation while gaining exposure to the full NPD lifecycle within a large-scale FMCG manufacturing environment.
This role offers a strong development pathway for individuals looking to build a career in NPD project management, product development or manufacturing operations.
As an NPD Project Coordinator, you’ll:
- Coordinate NPD projects from initial customer brief through to launch, ensuring timelines, milestones and deliverables are met
- Respond at pace to customer briefs, supporting the translation of commercial and sensory requirements into clear project plans
- Act as a central point of contact across internal teams including NPD, procurement, compliance, operations, brand and creative
- Support product development activity, including coordinating samples produced within site kitchens and labs
- Create and maintain detailed product briefs, specifications and customer-facing recipe documentation
- Brief suppliers on new ingredients and materials, ensuring technical, operational and commercial feasibility
- Track project progress, risks and dependencies, escalating issues where required to maintain delivery timelines
- Support packaging reviews and approvals, ensuring all regulatory and compliance requirements are met
- Assist with launch readiness, ensuring smooth handover into manufacturing and operations
- Monitor market and category trends, supporting insight sharing and reporting within the wider NPD team
What we’re looking for:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Technology, Nutrition or a related discipline
- Experience within an NPD environment (including placement year, graduate role or early-career experience)
- Strong understanding of the NPD process from concept through to product launch
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
- Comfortable working at pace and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-moving, regulated environment
- Passion for nutrition, supplements, health & wellbeing and FMCG manufacturing
- Knowledge of food safety, quality and compliance standards is advantageous
