About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Food & Beverage Assistant to join us at King Street Townhouse Hotel and Spa 

We are looking for a talented, passionate individual to join our team and create memorable guest experiences. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standard of professionalism in all areas of operation and carry out all duties to our world class standards.

The hotel also includes King Street Tavern (bar, restaurant and wine cellars), afternoon tea rooms, conferencing & event space, gym and treatment rooms, which are available to hotel guests. King Street Townhouse boasts some amazing features, such as its rooftop infinity spa pool, with views of the spires and clock tower of Manchester’s iconic town hall. The hotel prides itself in its reputation for special events and occasions. As such we are very popular for christenings, wedding parties, anniversaries and birthday celebrations. Responsibilities  

  • Able to work in all areas of Food & Beverage including Bar, Restaurant, and 6th-floor south terrace. 
  • Welcome members and guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service
  • Prepare set ups for tables
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
  • Ensure compliance of brand standards
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas
  • Comply with club security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Comply with local licensing laws
  • Be environmentally aware
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

Requirements

  • Ideally, 1 year of experience working in a hospitality environment
  • Flexibility in availability and adapting to shift patterns as needed
  • Enthusiasm for working in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of service
  • Strong team-working skills, contributing to collaborative success
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to work proactively and independently when needed
  • Good people skills, building positive relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle a fast-paced working environment
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality service
