About the role:

Are you an SEO copywriter looking for their next challenge? Want to create content in a fast-paced, dynamic environment for one of the UK’s most exciting brands? The THG Ingenuity B2B Marketing team could be your perfect fit.

The SEO Copywriter will work within the B2B content team to create useful, compelling, and valuable blog pages that targets specific keywords, to build organic growth for the THG Ingenuity brand

They will support the marketing team to increase the authority and relevance of our content and improve its ranking in Google for the selected keywords. They will be able to conduct keyword research, competitor analysis and write on-site content so that our readers (and Google) will get the most value out of our content, with the aim of driving lead generation and brand awareness through content.

This is an exciting and varied role, with many of opportunities to explore different topics and deliver value across a variety of products, personas, and markets across the wide span of the THG Ingenuity proposition.

Reporting into: Marketing Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

At THG, we encourage and promote growth and exploration within your role, and as such the below list is not exhaustive to the potential of the the role’s remit:

  • Owning the day-to-day creation of high-quality content that is relevant to our products or services and resonates with our personas.
  • Working with Subject Matter Experts across the business to feed their knowledge into each piece of content.
  • Identifying keywords and phrases that are relevant to our products and services.
  • Writing blog posts for each stage of the marketing funnel, clearly guiding the users towards soft and hard in-page actions.
  • Creating long-form reports, whitepapers and eBooks that provide high quality insight to the reader, used for lead generation on site.
  • Reviewing and actioning on-page optimisation both for blogs and gated content.
  • Researching topics to provide new insights or information that will interest readers, while making robust KW research to ensure the content is visible on Google in top positions.
  • Monitoring and reviewing current on-site content to ensure performance is maintained in the long term, prioritising and updating when needed.
  • Supporting the marketing team to make our blog and resources a point of reference for our target personas.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to build reports on organic performance and inform the B2B Marketing team on organic success.


  • Minimum 3-years' experience as a copywriter in B2B industries, tasked with building blog performance through targeted long- and short-form blog posts.
  • Minimum 3-year experience in content/in-page SEO.
  • Excellent writing skills in English.
  • Knowledge of SEM Rush or similar tool.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Extremely enthusiastic and an advocate of in-page SEO.
  • An ability to own the end-to-end production of an SEO-optimised content piece, from KW research and topic ideation, through to writing and editing.
  • A conscientious, positive attitude with a willingness to take on a wide range of topics within the THG Ingenuity offering.

Nice to have

  • Have worked with cornerstone/clusters blog structure.
  • Experience in gated content creation such as reports and whitepapers.
  • Understanding of blog in-page conversion tactics, and how content can boost conversions.
  • Google Analytics knowledge for monitoring organic performance of content and/or past experience in reporting on organic performance of content.
