About the Role

Working closely with the Head of FP&A in the Beauty division, you will also partner up with other functions outside of finance and play a pivotal role in the way data is used within Beauty. In order to really know what drives the business, you will define ways to measure and report on the key indicators of it.

The role involves interaction across all key business functions; from trading and marketing teams, through to supply chain and merchandising teams. Ensuring that decisions being made across the business are driving the desired commercial outcome.

Responsibilities

• Embedding analytics products in processes and decisions
• Tracking and challenging of daily, weekly and monthly trading results
• Automating reporting by writing and reviewing SQL or Python code
• Building bespoke automated reports/alerts to empower colleagues with data
• Playing a pivotal role between finance teams and BI / Data teams
• Ensuring deliverables and written communications are accurate, succinct, and clear
• Serve as a data expert to successfully support business needs
• Assisting with troubleshooting data issues, validating result sets, recommending, and implementing process improvements
• Sharing knowledge through team channels
• Owning your learning and development journey to make the most of the fantastic L&D offerings we have available, and in turn applying learned soft / technical skills to your role.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a data analytical role
• Ability to own data strategy and implement change independently
• Data focussed professional with an analytical mind-set, quick to grasp the fundamentals of a business and have strong communication skills
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of data analysis, data modelling and quality assurance techniques
• Ability to work autonomously, initiate and deliver change; have a proactive and creative approach to problem solving
• Advanced proficiency with SQL (required)
• Advanced proficiency with Excel (required)
• Experience with data visualisation software (Tableau/Looker/PowerBI) (preferred)
• Experience with programming languages (Python/R) (advantageous)
• Big Query (preferred)
