About The Role
Reporting directly to the SSC Manager, the primary responsibility of the Order to Cash Team Leader is to lead the THG Nutrition Division within the Credit team.
The Order to Cash Team Leader oversees a team of 4 members, ensuring that each team member’s tasks are aligned with the overall objectives of the division. They are responsible for setting and tracking performance metrics, such as days sales outstanding (DSO), invoice accuracy, and collection efficiency.
As a subject matter expert and point of reference, the Order to Cash Team Leader addresses issues related to the THG Nutrition Accounts Receivables Team. They ensure that all processes are executed in accordance with Group procedures and meet both internal and external audit requirements.
Key responsibilities include managing workflow using effective LEAN techniques, adhering to key business controls to ensure all tasks are completed correctly the first time, and identifying inefficient processes to propose and implement practical solutions. The Team Leader also conducts regular performance reviews and provides feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement and high performance.
Responsibilities:
Performance Delivery
- Efficiently organise, supervise, and monitor the activities of the THG Nutrition Credit and Accounts Receivable Teams to ensure all debt reduction targets, cash collection targets, SLAs, and KPIs are met.
- Provide expertise and act as the first point of reference to resolve business-critical issues.
- Deliver cash flow forecasts on time, based on a 13-week advanced forecast.
- Act as a coach for team members, providing guidance and support.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for resolving internal and external THG Nutrition Credit and AR issues.
- Manage incoming requests through workflow and schedule activities appropriately.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external counterparts, sales and operational teams, insurance brokers, internal customers, and business partners.
- Strive to achieve best practice performance levels as per benchmarks agreed with the SSC Manager.
- Deliver weekly reports on aged debt performance.
- Ensure insurance cover requirements for your divisions are met, working with the SSC Manager to comply with the terms and conditions of our insurance policy.
- Manage month-end closure and re-opening effectively, in line with the rest of the Group.
Process Management and Improvement
- In liaison with the SSC Manager, identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives
- Organise periodic feedback sessions for the team
- Evaluates new processes and ensures training material is produced for all team members,
- Trains and develops each Team Member with the latest process updates
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a credit control team leader role within a fast-paced, multi-functional finance environment.
- Familiarity with working in a Shared Service Centre.
- Proficiency in office IT, preferably with intermediate MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Sage or other ERP systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to instil a responsive “right first time” approach.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to work both independently and within a team.
- Manage holidays and sickness effectively.
- Develop skills in accordance with agreed personal development plans
