Junior Project Manager

Job Description
The Project Manager will act as the driving force behind the success of every key Product project and Campaign.
The Project Manager will take ownership of key business critical projects, such as new territory expansion. The Project Manager will be expected to collate and define all stakeholders as a project team, ensuring responsibilities, scope and timelines are understood and engaged with. The PM runs fortnightly meetings to review project progress against critical paths, ensuring issues and developments are communicated with and worked on by suitable teams. The Project and Product Process CI Manager will own a monthly project status update with the Senior Leadership Team, supported by the PM.
They will manage and ensure that priority Product projects align with overarching business goals, construct detailed critical paths for delivery, converse with internal and external stakeholders, ensure key milestones are met to critical path and communicate project status and risk across business as regular controlled updates.
The PM will ensure the maintenance, correctness and communication of the overarching Product launch calendar.
The Project Manager will be an active team member of the Product Business Development team ensuring the demands of the business are identified and met.
Duties
- Ownership of business-critical projects, collation and management of project team, reporting on project status and risks, escalation to Project and Product Process CI Manager and SLT. For example; management of expansion into new territories.
- Maintenance and development of priority product and campaign critical paths and overarching Product Launch Calendar.
- Identification and communication of project scope and requirements.
- Work closely with major project stakeholders to ensure awareness of scope, duties, priority and close out to dictated timeframes - SLAs.
- Identification, communication and close out of project issues which arise.
- Main POC re. Overarching campaign risk status; close management of individual constituent projects.
- Evaluate and report on project and project team performance, being a stakeholder on the Post Launch Review Function.
- Works closely with wider teams, including Continuous Improvement Technologist to ensure collaboration on time / resource sensitive projects.

Progression Potential and Professional Characteristics
- The role starts off working based within the UK site based, progression and success within the role would involve applying the knowledge and processes applied across multinational production and supply chain.
- Managerial progression and onboarding of a (localised) CI team function.
- PMO qualification – professional accreditation emphasising reducing waste and variation, emphasising collaboration. Application of learnings across business.
Ideal Candidate
- An experienced PM looking for the next step in their career in a fast-paced environment; juggling a busy, global, launch calendar.
- Knowledge and practical experience having worked within a food business or NPD would be desirable but not essential. A background in nutrition or sports science and formal PM qualification would be highly advantageous but not essential for the role.
- The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, energetic and social – the role of Project Manager at THG involves working with a lot of stakeholders, so a proactive team player is essential.
- The Project Manager will be expected to be self-motivated, multi – task and efficiently organise and prioritise their workload.
- Critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to keep a cool head under pressure are essential skills. A strong candidate would exhibit strong leadership and negotiation skills – communication is key for this role.
- Technical expertise and previous experience having worked with PM software's such as Wrike is desirable.
