About the Role

The Merchandising and Supply Chain team are responsible for the processes and materials behind the manufacture and distribution of the goods that THG creates and sells. The work the team does is critical in ensuring the business is competitive in the market.
The Merchandising Admin Assistant will support the team with key administrative tasks as well as purchase order raising and managing the delivery schedule which includes chasing and tracking of orders to ensure goods are delivered in the agreed lead time. 

 

Responsibilities (clearly linked to KPIs):

  • End to end Purchase Order management with long term focus on reaching optimum on site stock availability; ensuring that all orders are on track for on time delivery through maintenance of the team delivery schedule. 
  • Escalate and highlight critical path opportunities or concerns to line manager.
  • Daily supplier communication regarding orders placed and upcoming deliveries. Updating the system with order feedback and amendments.
  • Reviewing and resolving inbound issues with Supply and Warehouse teams; liaising with suppliers and buyers to resolve queries. 
  • Attending brand meetings when required and build strong influential relationships.
  • Building collaborative working relationships with buying counterpart working towards department strategy. 
  • Supporting the Merchandiser and Head of Merchandising with excel reporting and preparation, analysis, data entry and general administrative duties.
  • Heavy system usage across various platforms; ranging from PO raising, completing amendments and report distribution.

  • Influences and communicates confidently. Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Highly flexible to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident with Microsoft packages, specifically Excel.
