Managing Director – Myprotein Asia

Office Location: Manchester, UK 

As part of the senior management team and reporting directly to the Global Managing Director, you will be responsible for the P&L, online sales, results, growth strategy and brand identity of Myprotein across Asia. You will be responsible for managing the cross functional territory teams working across DTC Ecommerce sales, B2B Sales, Performance Marketing channels, Brand Marketing, Procurement & Supply Chain. The Key KPI will be to maximise growth in sales and brand awareness across the Asia region for Myprotein. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • An all-round understanding of running a business across Asia with a heavy emphasis on Japan, Korea and China. Covering multiple areas such as Finance, Commercial, Legal, Compliance, Imports, Operations, Trading and Marketing.  

  • Leading the digital marketing and DTC e-commerce trading teams to deliver commercial growth for the Asia territory  

  • Ownership, management and development of the Myprotein brand across Asia. 

  • Identifying new and innovative ways to drive traffic across the territory DTC websites, including developing and improving traffic from existing channels  

  • Develop the offline strategy for Myprotein across the Asia territory. 

  • Developing relationships with key partnership brands and websites  

  • Work in synergy with the rest of the Myprotein leadership team to identify new growth opportunities and ways in which to improve brand presence and reputation across Asia. 

  • Deliver best in class customer experience  

  • Responsible for operations, understanding of the warehouse workings, stock forecast, New Product Development launch and strategic initiatives.  

  • Understanding the need for new payment methods and strategic alliances that enhance the growth and also build the credibility of the brand in the region 


  • Full P&L ownership experience 

  • Previous experience managing an online business in the APAC territory  

  • 5+ years' experience in the eCommerce sector 

  • Japanese language skills both written and spoken to native standard is strongly desired but not essential. 

  • English language skills both written and spoken to business standard 

  • Strong management skills with previous experience managing multi-cultural international teams  

  • A leader from the front - need to be able to roll up your sleeves. Process-oriented individual with exceptional execution skills. 

  • A flair for identifying trends and the ability to translate these into strong commercial ideas 

  • Strong Excel and Google Analytics knowledge 

  • Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections. 

  • Building brand awareness and positioning; review the brand message regularly to ascertain its consistency
