About Security and Loss Prevention and the Role

The Security team has responsibility for safeguarding THG and its employees across all sites within the business. The team also manages risk, resilience and business continuity group-wide and secures the business against a plethora of potential situations and risks.

As the Corporate Security Systems Manager at THG you’ll be at the forefront of designing, leading, and executing cutting-edge corporate and physical security initiatives across a diverse and global portfolio of sites. This is not just another job—it’s a role where you’ll directly shape the future of security for the business. You'll join an excellent Group Security team, with the unique responsibility of managing and enhancing the technical security infrastructure at all THG facilities worldwide. From high-level project management to hands-on technical oversight, you’ll drive the entire lifecycle of security systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of innovation and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Project and Resource Management: Lead end-to-end security projects, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security systems such as alarms, surveillance cameras, access control, and video intercoms. Your project management skills will ensure the successful completion of these initiatives within scope, on budget, and on time.
  • Proactive System Maintenance: Provide continuous support for deployed security systems, ensuring their longevity and reliability through regular firmware updates, system backups, and timely fault rectification. Your proactive approach will minimise downtime and ensure seamless security operations.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting and Vendor Management: Act as the first point of contact for diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues. Collaborate closely with vendors and manufacturers to resolve complex system repairs and initiate system upgrades, ensuring that our technology stays at the cutting edge.
  • System Integrity and Compliance: Maintain the integrity of security systems through rigorous, scheduled testing and preventive maintenance. Your work will ensure optimal system performance while upholding compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
  • Documentation and Accountability: Create and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system configurations, and any changes. This documentation will not only serve as a vital resource for future troubleshooting but also enhance transparency and accountability.
  • Efficient System Repairs: Respond promptly to system malfunctions, performing necessary repairs to minimise disruptions to operations. Your rapid response will protect the organisation from potential security breaches and operational delays.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, budget, and timeline. These plans will guide the organisation in executing security upgrades and expansions efficiently and effectively.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise a skilled team of technicians and subcontractors to deliver high-quality project outcomes. Your leadership will foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the security team.
  • Configuration and Training: Configure both software and hardware components of security systems, ensuring they are optimised for operational needs. Train end users, equipping them with the knowledge to operate the systems confidently and independently.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure all projects are completed to the highest standard. Clear and open communication will help align project goals with business objectives.
  • Cross-functional Support: Provide expertise and assistance to other departments and functions as required, contributing to the overall success of the organisation's security efforts.

Requirements:

  • Experience in designing security for new buildings or facilities
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of security systems and networking
  • Project management or equivalent experience with integrated products and services
  • Experience in working with or supervising subcontractors
  • Previous training and experience working with basic electricity, low voltage, and modern security devices, such as CCTV, Access Control, and alarm systems
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed
  • Desirable – Experience and Knowledge of Fire Systems
  • Added bonus if you have experience with LenelS2, Wavestore, Bosch and Axis
