About Finance at THG
Finance at THG is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of finance from central functions such as accounts receivable and payable, treasury, tax and internal audit, to specific commercial teams for each of our divisions; Beauty, Tech, Consumer, Health and Brands. About the Role
Working closely with the Head of Finance and Divisional CFO in the Nutrition division, you will partner up with other functions outside finance to support pricing decisions and improve profit initiatives. This is a key data role within the finance team managing a team of 3, including graduates and apprentices during their rotations.
In order to really know what drives the business, you will define ways to measure and report on the key indicators of performance as well as ensuring decisions are made with a balanced view considering short and longer term impacts as well as the impact to both top and bottom line performance.
You will obsessively drive the P&L and business model forward, identifying growth opportunities, cost savings and efficiency gains.
The role involves interaction across all key business functions from trading and marketing teams through to supply chain and merchandising teams to ensure that decisions being made across the business are driving the desired commercial outcome.
Working across over 50 sites globally and the additional complexity that this provides from FX to operational.
Additionally will be a key component of budgeting and forecasting process both in month and further forward considering and inputting to the wider strategic vision of the business.
Performance Delivery
- Tracking and challenging of daily, weekly and monthly trading results
- Key owner of reporting across divisional KPIs to senior stakeholders
- Forecasting & budgeting of sales and margin
- Key role within pricing changes implemented both initial assessment and subsequent tracking
- Identify and implement profit improvement initiatives
- Challenge and review of changes to trading offers and pricing
- Modelling and stress testing of proposed changes in trading / offers
Role Requirements
- Degree qualified in relevant subject (or equivalent)
- Data focussed professional with an analytical mind-set, quick to grasp the fundamentals of a business and have strong communication skills
- People management experience
- Must have excellent Excel skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-moving and changeable environment
- Experience working with large data sets and complex models
- Experience or knowledge of data systems and coding (eg SQL, Power BI, Tableau) – preferred
This role will be based out of our Manchester Airport offices. Whilst we do offer hybrid working, you would be required to attend the office at least 3 days a week.
