What will I be doing?
As a Customer Support Engineer in the Cloud and Infrastructure Support Team, you play a crucial role in the delivery of a world-class support experience for customers of THG Ingenuity Cloud Services resulting in high customer satisfaction rates and long-term customer loyalty. Reporting to the Hosting Support Lead, you will work shifts as part of a team covering 24/7/365 service availability and maintain a smooth and effective customer-centric support operation that includes requests, incident troubleshooting & resolution advice via calls, chats, and tickets. You will be an advocate of service improvement, continually identifying any service improvements aligned to our collective goals.
What skills and experience would I need?
- A minimum of 2 years Technical Support experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- A natural ability to understand needs, problem-solve and find solutions
- Confident with Linux/Unix and Windows administration
- Basic network configuration and troubleshooting
- A good understanding of DNS records used on web and email servers
- Database administration and SQL querey writing
- Familiarity with popular hosting control panels (cPanel, WHMCS etc.)
- Good all-around knowledge of server hardware and cloud technologies
What other experience would be beneficial?
- Relevant certifications (Cisco, cPanel & Linux)
- Experience of Hosting Products and Services
