This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career in the beauty industry and within the merchandising function. 

The person must always have knowledge of the beauty industry and a passionate interest in beauty trends plus the drive to maximise sales. This is the primary focus of the role. 

The key to working in the Buying & Merchandising team at Cult Beauty is the ability to find the correct balance between the expectation of the customer, the internal teams, the suppliers, and the objectives of the company’s financial strategy. And the ability to easily juggle the needs of each of these internal and external customers. 

 

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will:

  • Analyse sales figures and spotting trends and acting upon immediately – daily and weekly
  • Evaluate large amounts of data and make sound decisions based on what you see
  • Complete reorders of products in a timely manner
  • Forecast and plan sales demand for brands
  • Work closely with the marketing team planning campaigns which includes choosing products for emails, homepages and social channels in conjunction with the Merchandiser
  • Monitor Stock levels to support marketing calendar, launches and activations 
  • Be a key point of contact for internal teams on stock levels and availability 
  • Create ad-hoc reports as requested and having input on ideas regarding new reporting
  • Work closely with the Merchandiser to maximise every opportunity / sales trend
  • Plan product campaigns with affiliates team
  • Work closely with the buying team to plan newness and feeding back on trends and concerns
  • Liaise with brands/suppliers on Back in stock dates to minimise Out of Stock periods  
  • Advise the wider team of any stock ‘threats’/ overages/ risks and devising strategies together to deal with these problems
  • Communicate category sales trends across the business in conjunction with the Merchandiser & planning with the DC, as necessary
