About the Role


As the Assistant Brand Marketing Manager for THG Brands overseeing the Asia market, you will be an integral part of the team in driving the growth of our brands in the Asia territory. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who can bring fresh and innovative thinking to THG.


Taking ownership of the 360-degree marketing strategy for one of THG’s beauty brands on Chinese e-commerce platforms and reporting to Senior Marketing Manager, you will have an overall responsibility for driving performance across marketing KPIs, strategizing customer acquisition and retention via multiple marketing touchpoints, lead the on-going social media content planning and building; as well as cultivating a robust KOL database. You will be responsible for competitor research, assessing the market and helping to build out marketing campaigns around key trading periods. You will also manage our external marketing agencies and trading partners, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders, to ensure successful campaign execution in delivering KPIs.

  • Responsible for supporting the development of China brand marketing strategy from industry & consumer insights, creative idea generation, brand messaging and marketing communication campaign deliveries.
  • Lead development and execution of social media monthly content plans and campaign activation to deliver branding and commercial objectives within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Build a robust KOL (influencer) database across key China social media platforms, managing always-on KOL seeding programmes to increase brand awareness and engagement
  • Work closely with internal Ecommerce Trading Manager and external TP (TMall Partner) to deliver marketing and promotional activities to achieve sales objectives
  • Effectively manage internal stakeholder relationships and expectations across various teams (Global Brand, Finance, Supply Chain and etc.) throughout the daily work process, from project/assets brief to final sign-off, global assets localisation, execution and review of marketing plans.
  • Manage external digital marketing agencies, drafting brief and following through campaign execution to ensure successful delivery against KPIs
  • Closely monitor competitor activities, performing weekly/monthly/yearly campaign KPIs reports and providing improvement suggestions
  • Brand marketing support for other Asia territories such as Taiwan, Hong Kong and etc as and when new projects arise



  • Support key brands’ social media campaign & BAU activation to deliver monthly & quarterly brand marketing KPIs (impression, engagement, fan growth, sales conversions, brand keywords search TBC each quarter)
  • Implement robust brand marketing strategies, celebrity/KOL seeding and communications plans to support the monthly commercial objectives of TMall & other B2B channels.



  • 2-3 years+ relevant experience in China brand marketing and campaign management across key social media platforms, previous work experience in China (in house or agencies) is highly preferred
  • Industry experience in beauty, haircare, fashion, consumer ecommerce is preferred
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering effective digital marketing campaign projects that deliver sales growth
  • Solid understanding of China’s digital marketing landscape, consumer behaviours, ecommerce market places (TMall, JD, Kaola, Little Red Book and etc)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to manage internal and external relationships to drive desirable results, good copy writing skill is desirable
  • Resourceful, result oriented with ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Strong project management skill, capable of taking ownership of campaign projects and see through completion
  • Fluent English and Mandarin speaker
