About the Role

Reporting into The AP and Accounting Manager, the primary responsibility of the AP TL is to ensure that the Accounts Payable team carry out all responsibilities as per company policy and right first-time approach.

The AP TL will manage the AP Associate’s and will be responsible for the central AP Ledger plus additional ad hoc duties as and when required.

The AP TL acts as a subject matter expert and point of reference for activities or issues related to the aforementioned tasks and ensures that related processes are executed in line with the Group procedures and according to the internal and external audit requirements.


  • People management of Associates/Seniors/Specialists
  • Escalations - level 1
  • Standard/Urgent payment management
  • 1-2-1’s seniors/specialist/associate
  • Ledger reviews – Aged creditors and debit balances
  • Internal stakeholder management
  • ME tracker - 1st level sign off
  • Lead huddles
  • New starter onboarding (TL)
  • Set clear goals, KPI's and Targets


  • Ability to manage a team and work with stakeholders on different levels of responsibility across the business.
  • Extensive knowledge of supplier and customer master data processes and controls.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Professional and tactful.
  • Ability to adapt to and embrace change.
  • Strong organisational effectiveness skills, ability to prioritise effectively, attention to details.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to perform tasks effectively and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment without close guidance or supervision.
  • Results driven, self-sufficient and high motivation.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organisation and have good teamwork skills
  • Initiative and proactiveness approach to problem solving.
