Our Development Programme 

Throughout our 12-M programme, you’ll have access to a series of learning opportunities that will help to propel your career further, faster. The programme will consist of series of courses that have been designed to accelerate your career, giving you access to the knowledge, skills, and behaviours for success at THG. Each course will include a number of workshops, team takeovers, and engagement initiatives.

About the Role 

We are looking for the next generation of marketing leaders in the Beauty industry. As a leading online retailer we strive for best-in-class across all of our functions, so we're now looking to hire ambitious and driven graduates to embark on a truly unique 1 year rotation with ourselves to become well rounded experts in the Beauty space by working across key areas of our division. 

This will be broken down in to 2 separate rotations over a 6 month period in each department, to give you a real grounding in to our business and give you unbelievable exposure to how a leading online Beauty retailer operates. 

We are looking for talented graduates to join us to develop key skillsets in an online retail first environment, with a view of giving you real responsibility across our Beauty brand collective from day one - fast-tracking you in to managerial positions in the future. 


  • Working across our Skincare, Haircare, Cosmetics and Tooling categories to build relationships with premium beauty brands 
  • You'll be responsible for working on strategic campaign planning with brands, focusing on metrics such as new customer acquisition, retention and average order value 
  • Liaising with brands weekly to review performance and drive actions accordingly which will helping to deliver Annual Brand Budgets and profit targets 
  • Collaborative working with trading and merchandising managers to ensure brand plans are executed successfully and stock portfolio/availability is managed effectively 


  • Work with buying to maximise commercial opportunities and minimise areas of risk by regularly reviewing performance and trends and re-planning accordingly 
  • Produce monthly stock and sales budgets for own department 
  • Forecast demand planning at sku level where necessary and provide timely and accurate forecasts for the season ahead 
  • Develop and agree activity plans with buying and marketing to achieve sales and profit targets and drive the correct department strategy 
  • Robust management of OTB with phased commitment to increase trading flexibility 
  • Work in close alignment with buying and supply to develop supplier relationships 
  • Analyse supplier delivery performance and work with the buyer and supply to take appropriate action 
  • Evaluate customer and market information to enhance and support department planning 

Role Requirements 

  • Top level graduate, looking to start work after graduation in Summer 2022 
  • Strong interest in Buying & Merchandising 
  • Strong communication to not only have internal discussions with stakeholders but to hold negotiations with prestigious external brands 
  • Commercially astute, ambitious and highly intelligent individuals who are hungry for success and genuine responsibility. 
  • Being an entrepreneurial thinker - those able to think outside the box will be best suited to a true 'start-up', agile environment with early responsibility for key decision making 
  • Curious by nature with a strong thirst for continuously learning
